I am an American student who would love to spend some time studying in Italy, potentially long-term. Are Italian colleges generally friendly to foreign students? Are there any colleges that are specifically good for this purpose?

If you are open-minded and able to adapt to the culture easily and go with the flow, then most should be very kind and welcoming. Of course, there are always those with anti-American sentiment, but you will find a little of that pretty much anywhere in Europe. I am not to sure about good colleges though. A little research should do the trick.

Are you looking for American colleges in Italy or an italian college itself? What are you interested in studying? Would you want to live with other students? I could help more with more information.

Angie, in response to your questions I am looking for an Italian college. I would like to study literature and writing, something along those lines. I would not mind living with other students either.
